There is always hope that intensive therapy can help. Medication might also help. I don't know these boys, obviously, but there are drugs and therapies that can be effective with violent individuals. Nothing is 100% effective though, and we don't have the money to track such individuals as carefully as we should (IMO). I would like to see a lot more money devoted to violent offenders. I have very little interest in incarceration as a remedy for any non-violent offense. Let those prisoners work off their debt rebuilding the inner cities, and caring for our rotting high ways, and making themselves useful.
