The average (male) wedding ring has 3 grams of gold in it. (Assuming it weighs a whopping 5 grams and is 14 carat.) At 3800 an ounce that is 380 dollars worth of gold. Western jewelers will triple the cost of the gold for the price of the ring, so it will cost 1040 for a wedding ring. Not out of line. I want mine with a bas-relief hologram of a winking/snorting bull with a nose-ring in onyx. The inscription is to read "valeas libertam, semper servilis".
