Dear Prolife: Sadly, the best healthcare system in the World isnt much use if you cant get the insurance. ANYONE who retires BEFORE age 65 better make DAMN SURE they got affordable health insurance. I retired at age 47 and THEN found out NO ONE would insure me without me paying $1,000 a month premiums. Didnt know that when I made the decision. No, I didnt have a preexisting condition at the time (had a kidney stone operation 12 years earlier and they USED THAT as an excuse). Ridiculous. I got NO USE for insurance companies, they are all a bunch of crooks IMHO. They want to CHERRY PICK and dont give a damn about anyone. JDN
