Actually Texas is number one in Cotton production. As far as beef, the long Texas drought has decimated a good bit of pasture land in Texas. Lot's of land, but sure cannot run many cows on it.

Lotsa cows in Hawaii too. We have very few cows in Alaska. There was a dairy business in Juneau, but it's cheaper to fly milk in.
