I guess we could have a continuation of the rally with limited upside and downside, but imo the long term bear mkt is still in place. Fridays mkt was fairly strong considering the lousy manuf news and the new FBI terror alerts. Plus the ipo aftermarket is very strong.

But going into Jan and Feb, there's no broad fundamental justification for a sustained strong mkt in 2003. The bursting of the debt bubble is going to continue. The Fed is looking at some loan portfolios of C and JPM for possible overvaluations by the banks.
