"All the things you mention have been done by others on SI. They happen all the time. People become obsessed with other aliases all the time. If a personality is too weak to take the stuff that goes on here, even as an alias, then that personality does not belong on the net."

I disagree. Poet was participating in a variety of discussions on a daily basis. She was doing this to the point I would consider it a significant and meaningful daily routine. Why should she be forced to abandon something like this because of another persons refusal to stop something that she found personally abusive?

If I didn't like the way you pick your teeth I might ask you to stop but ultimately if you refused, I would as you say just not watch. On the other hand if you are flicking the scraps in my eye the onus to "just not" goes to you.

Children do not belong here, and adults who want to be
treated like children do not belong here.

I wonder what the mob will say to that. That SI should be made safe for adults who don't want to take adult responsibility for their presence here?
