Max, This came up on a Google search. Granted it's a tribute, but for those too young to remember him it's a good description. The article doesn't mention that during his years under legendary coach Paul Brown (no relation), Jim was confined to running between tackles because that's what Coach Paul believed a fullback should do. But that doctrine squandered Brown's cat-like grace and deceptive Cadillac smooth speed, not to mention his ability to carry or slip off tacklers. Six years of his nine year career consisted of seasons only twelve games long. You are correct that his yards per carry amounted to 5.2+. Amazing. And I was not a Browns fan. He killed my team.
