Looking for the SPX top - full sto statistical evidence:
stockcharts.com[f,a]whcaynay[d20000101,20021201][pd20,2!f][iup14,3,3][J8092140,Y]&pref=G

Date SPX Full sto
value value
----------------------
3/00 1552 ~.75
7/00 1517 ~.80
8/00 1530 ~.90
1/01 1383 ~.50
5/01 1315 ~.75
12/01 1173 ~.85
1/02 1176 ~.90
3/02 1173 ~.80
8/02 965 ~.45
11/02 925 ~.65

So, there is NO fixed full sto level at which SPX tops out but there is range of .75 to .90 where ALL previous major tops occurred (except for the one in 1/01).
MORE importantly however, once full sto reached the current level of ~.68, there was NO MORE than 2-4% upside on SPX at best. Thus, the SPX 965 8/02 top is BOTH a powerful magnet and a powerful resistance.
