Hi KLP; Re those 6 men in the car in Yemen. While it may have been impossible to show that they were an "imminent threat to the US", it would be fairly easy to show that they were armed, dangerous, and sworn to not be taken alive.

I really don't see the difference between this and when they shot Bonnie and Clyde Barrow's 1934 Ford model 730 deluxe V-8 sedan (cost $835 when new) full of holes. (They got shot at least 33 times, between the two of them.)

For some reason, bullet holes on cars typically are harder to see than one might imagine, providing one ignores hits in the glass. (I know this obscure fact from personal experience.) Despite this tendency, the above link truly shows a "bullet riddled" car.
