Nadine : The " anti-war crowd " were silenced due to the path that was being followed. It was only their ability to briefly overcome the threat of being labeled un-patriotic and show their opposition to the " War Now " crowd, that have enabled the US to be in the better position it is today. But the US is going headlong down a path of perceived World Dominance ,and any opposition looks like an attempt to undermine America's Security. The last thing anyone wants to be accused of is undermining their country's security. Thus, in a never ending war scenario, where the bad guys just keep popping up from the supposed dead, everyone and everything are suspect. The ruling power holds the big psychological stick against its citizens, and causes them to be silent. The policy now is the correct one on Iraq....finally….but there are many many other policies that are not getting attention due to this singular focus/ infatuation America has on/with Iraq, and their sad brainwashed confusion of equating Iraq with Al Q's. Oh well, I see AlGore is ready to spring from the closet again.Maybe he will stick around this time and show some leadership, however difficult it will be for the loyal opposition to get attention with the current trend prevalent. The 100 years war has only 99 left, yet some will say progress is being made. This is where the loyal opposition will get its ammo,it will not need an alternative, the opposition never has needed one, just blatant failure after failure………..
