Well, I think Nadine's posts are very sharp and usually cut right to the point. She doesn't back down from dismantling the very real flaws in logic of those who argue against her positions, so I don't think you can say she isn't listening. I think she just understands what she's hearing. I try not to miss any of her posts, so obviously I've read many of them. I don't see any indication that she's "cut and pasting" her responses or arguments. She's just arguing from a consistent position, the same as most everyone else here is.

I still listen, Condor, nor are my comments cut and pasted. I just haven't heard any arguments from you that change my perception of reality, not quite the same thing as not listening -g-.

The dovish arguments about Israel are all at bottom based on the idea that the Arabs (and you must say "the Arabs" because the Palestinians do not and cannot act alone) have accepted Israel and just want to end the post-1967 occupation. I used to hope this was true, but I have stopped believing it due to what I consider mountains of evidence to that effect. The large majority of Israelis have made a similar shift in opinion, looking at the same evidence.

The Left in America, and even more so in Europe, ignore the evidence totally and buy into what I think of as the "Western-export" Palestinian line, which plays on post-colonial guilt, post-Holocaust guilt, and native anti-Semitism. This line, btw, is completely different from what the Palestinians tell each other or other Arabs. But that gets ignored too.
