To hold a Federal government job that pays well in English speaking Canada (especially the military) you need to be bilingual. Now you understand how the system works.

We have a state funded media called the CBC. In my part of Western Canada the CBC has f.m. radio in French which caters to less than 1% of the population. They have their own production and news facilities.

We spent billions of dollars converting all our highway signs to kilometers from miles and gallons to liters simply to make us distinct from the U.S.

The premier of our province stated that we will not sell one sacred drop of our water supply to the U.S. What will we do with it before it flows north into Hudson Bay and the sea? I'm not sure but a good suggestion would be to build a big holding pond and drown in it.

I suppose to answer your question we are waiting to be liberated. Send us the poor, the hungry, the Kanuckastan.

The big money here is the German, French, British and South African mining companies. Many of which operate cartels and don't want to see political change.
