Hi LindyBill; The article includes a paragraph which explains why I've been posting the (still declining) mobilized reserve figures:

A war with Iraq could require more than the 265,000 National Guard and Reserve troops summoned to active duty in the war in 1991, largely to protect valuable sites in the United States like airports, power plants and oil and gas pipelines against terrorist reprisals. A reserve call-up could take several weeks, but has not yet been ordered. #reply-18245562
