Hello Energyplay, I will take sometime to get enthusiastic on US shares broadly (special situations, and temporary anomalies aside), because of the same old reasons: lack of profit, still high valuation, high debt, increasing fiscal obligations, fizzing jobs, and lack of retirement savings.

I will engage in raiding of the likes of Philip Morris, Cendant, Interpublic, AOL, ... with naked puts, and put/call straddle, and will keep an eye on Comcast, Liberty Media and such.

As to <<Barton Biggs ... optimism>>, I am always optimistic, that I will do well:0)
