Netonomy and HP Sign Worldwide Partnership Agreement

BOSTON & PALO ALTO, Calif. & PARIS, Nov 18, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- - HP Taps Wireless Customer Self-Service Solution To Provide Customer Managed Relationships to Wireless Service Providers

Netonomy, the global leader in self-service e-Care and e-Commerce solutions for the communications industry, today announced that it has entered into a global partnership with Hewlett Packard, (HWP) and will provide its MyNetonomy e-Care and e-Commerce solution as part of HP's wireless solution portfolio.

As part of its company-wide mobile technology initiative, HP plans to target wireless service providers with this new self-service solution. The offering will enable communications service providers to quickly launch highly personalized, self-service customer portals from a single point of contact. Through the self-service customer portals, both business and residential subscribers can select, configure and purchase products and services, manage their accounts online and pay bills electronically.

MyNetonomy is an Internet based, customer managed relationship (CMR) solution built specifically for the communications industry. It offers business and consumer subscribers the ability to provision and manage their own accounts without calling a customer service representative or visiting a point-of-sale store. Users can change rate plans, purchase new products and services, view, analyze and pay bills online, and report problems via a dedicated, personalized customer portal, accessible using virtually any communications device - PC, voice (via a voice browser), interactive TV, WAP, SMS or iMode handset, PDA or any other handheld device.

"The MyNetonomy solution addresses a massive shift in how wireless subscribers are serviced in the telecommunications industry," said Volkhard Bregulla, vice president HP Services Global Telco/NSP Practice "Carriers that offer a level of quality customer self-service to their clients represent the new breed of service-driven businesses that are dedicated to building real and long-lasting relationships with their customers. "

"The HP and Netonomy joint solution represents one of the world's first truly customer-focused, end-to-end portals for the wireless communications industry," said John Hughes, cofounder and executive vice president of Netonomy. "HP's software, hardware and service solutions together with Netonomy's wireless e-care and e-commerce application, delivers one-stop-shopping for a customer-managed relationship (CMR) portal that will help wireless service providers improve customer service and profitability. And with a three-month deployment time, the speed-to-market of the combined solution enables our customers to quickly leave the competition behind."
