i'm afraid it is either too late for this sort of concept and/or it is the wrong enemy to apply it to...what are we supposed to do, behave perfectly and unilaterally declare that we are not going to meddle in the middle east ? give them all of Israel and resettle a couple million non Arabs in the rest of the world ? apologize profusely ? convert to Islam ? what would satisfy the enemy such that they will not attack us again ? i'm not sure anything will satisfy them...

have you ever had a job where the boss squeezes and squeezes and starts with the bad performance reviews and the warnings etc etc and you start to think that no matter what you do, no matter if you work 24/7, no matter how many shoes you offer to shine, you will get canned anyway...this is our situation here...i do not think anything will satisfy the enemy, even if our side does not cause any more violence to any of the enemy's children, they will say we already did and that is enough cause...

when people talk about "this time is different" in the market, perhaps we can apply the concept to world issues now...there is nobody to make a deal with here...nobody is home to play fair with...nobody...

You don't offer any real 'solution,' just criticism of the US and philosopical pie in the sky brushovers.
