Harmonic Announces Dismissal of Securities Litigation

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 18, 2002--Harmonic Inc. (Nasdaq:HLIT - News) today announced the dismissal with prejudice of securities litigation against Harmonic and certain of its current and former officers and directors in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. The dismissed claims alleged that Harmonic had violated securities laws by making allegedly false and misleading statements regarding Harmonic's prospects and customers and its acquisition of C-Cube Microsystems, Inc., which closed in May 2000. The ruling is subject to the possibility of an appeal by the plaintiffs. Harmonic and its officers and directors were represented by Morrison & Foerster LLP.
