Wrong. If you are the brokerage that made the trade, you know. And if you are a large brokerage, you know exactly how short thousands of customers are. And all large brokerages have trading desks that routinely initiate short squeezes against their clients- especially when they know the exact value that a margin call will be made.

Biggest scam on wall street. This also is the reason why short information on stocks is delayed by 30 days, and cannot be bought in "real time" for any price. It is one of the largest cash cows in the industry.

Your right Grace...there is NO way to distinguish a short from a sell..some clowns think they can..the same clowns that still believe in the tooth fairy.

bid_buster, numbers are concrete,demading and telling all. NO- WAY does not exist. However knowing the difference between the tooth fairy and a clown could promote you to a circus director at present times.<G>
