Yes, it happens here. A lot, but not always.

At times we do get a chance to pause the argument and try to define terms, or recognize that the problem is in term definition and not in actual disagreement. It has happened.

But in real life, it happens a lot more often, IMO. I'm involved in a case right now which is going to hinge very much on which term definitions the judge accepts. If he accepts ours, we win; if theirs, they win.
