That's an interesting and disturbing article. Any attack on people based on their views expressed in open forums is disturbing, and I hope would be rejected by thinking people. However, one has to recognize that the left has opened the door to these tactics by its pattern of attacks over the past decade or two on conservative scholars. Scholars have been denounced for, among many other offenses, questioning affirmative action and objecting to university support for racially segrated organizations. The PC police have been active in ways I have no need to detail here. It's disturbing that these same tactics are also being adopted by the right, but one has to acknowledge, I think, that the left does not come to this debate with anything approaching clean hands.
