what? I didn't understand the first part of your comments. But...
eliminate capital gains taxes?
yes.
and dividend taxes. (at least the double taxing of them)
Why are the dems saying that would unfairly give the rich a tax break? I thought it might stimulate investment, maybe give other (like tech) co's incentive to go back to issuing dividends. More people like me (I think, and I'm not rich) accelerating toward their planned retirement years might have lost a bunch in tech, and might like to increase their focus on...I don't know...things like NFI, ANH, PNP, RNR, maybe NLY...there's a ton of reits that make real money and whose EPS has been increasing and need to distribute it in the form of dividends to maintain their tax status. cnbc said today this tax effort could easily boost the market (or was it the economy?) by 20%, though some of that might already be priced in...Why don't they just have a cable channel of spirals on the screen...you are very relaxed...(new age music)...you would like to buy fixed income based reits today...(D.J. Shadow: var var variable rate rate or or orig origin orinal or or iginal iginal or original mort mor mortgage origin mortgage fees fee fe)...never mind. Receive the dividends. Hope they eliminate the taxes. My time is running out. I'm older than most of you. I'm pushing myself still, but I think I'm getting tired.
Best wishes, folks, sincerely.

M.

Good points own.
In regards to Healthcare killing the market I will not belabor the point.
Readers of this thread know that 2 -3 yers ago I predicted
this on multiple postings ( and received a lot of grief for
it; I was simply a messenger ).

Re: Tax cuts.
Has many advantages.
No. One on the list: it prevents Government from spending
( wasting ) your hard earned dollars.
And many more........

Re:"The rich should get no tax cuts".

As things stand now, the top 50% of Americans pay 100% of the taxes.

The bottom 50% pay no taxes.

What is fair about that?
