Technical analysis really is just an attempt to establish patterns of investor/trader psychology. So self-fulfilling prophesies happen all the time. For example, if a resistance line is clear (say, CREE at 20), and lots of people see it.. they will jump in and buy when the stock clearly breaks through that overhead line with volume. In which case, the "breakout" really is a result of lots of different people seeing the same thing and acting in similar fashion. Has the market bottomed yet? I have no idea. I hope so. But in humble opinions we need more higher highs with higher volume. (Better earnings would help too) Cheers Ron
