well don't always rely so heavily on the New Advent.org Catholic Encyclopedia Joe , hehe...

they will have you believing in all these "other religions"
as the only ones who were believing in witches, evil spirits
primitive pantheons , and only they were immune to such
wild flights of fancy. If they could only read their own history.
And Jesus was not above his encounters with demons & spirits too.<G>

Here they "prophecy" that the european expansion & civilization should fairly well wipe out to extinction
this "superstition" to the east .That Buddhism is dead is the summary back in 1908 . Such vision and such scholarship ! How they try so hard to disprove any connection of obvious borrowing, which we know today went on . And the Europeans did a fairly good job of wiping themselves out .

But today Buddhism is more cherished than ever...wonder what went wrong?
newadvent.org

In short, Buddhism is all but dead. In its huge organism the faint pulsations of life are still discernible, but its power of activity is gone. The spread of European civilization over the East will inevitably bring about its extinction.

...it must be God's plan ! Buddhism is certainly still very much alive.

Also do not think that all this "progress" was never to be discovered if there wasn't a rebel revolutionary named "Jesus" . And in most cases what is called progress was at the cost of more misery than it cured as applied by this benign "selfishness" , which is the antithesis of core Christianity. Yet they want it both ways . The story is not yet finished , and yet was finished long ago.

;-)

Buddhism just surpassed Christianity in growth/per /year in the country of Australia BTW...you find the "Teachings of Buddha " in every hotelroom in Hawaii .

you see the signs everywhere today of the symbol of the Tao
and our little seated Buddha .

Oh the Christians just do not like this developement!

But we must trust in God yes ?

hehe

Oh how they "worry" about their little private tenure in heaven , when it was right before them the whole time.

;-o
