In the case of Saudi Arabia, we're there because the corrupt ruling house of saud is scared to death and wants a powerful buddy, even if they won't admit it in the press. They want us there.

BTW, do you know that Egyt, Iran and Saudi Arabia are solidly enthusiastic about the US plans to invade Iraq? That's right. But just don't expect to read about it in the Honolulu Free Press!
