The Wal-Mart's I've been in are dumps. I've yet to be ina crummy or unclean Target.

i think you are right about tarjay on a fundamental level,libby..

i don't see tgt and wmt as identical competing for the same market...

tgt has a well established "niche"

you should see the remodel of our local tgt...incredible ...the store is expanded...beautiful now, inside and out...well stocked...good product line....i wouldn't even consider going "DOWN THE STREET" to wmt to shave off a few pennies on toilet paper....<vbg>

IMO WMT and TGT are very different in what they offer their customers. Some of the categories of items may be the same...but the selection of products offered, is IMO quite different.

Funds sometimes sell sectors not stocks.
Whatever difference you see in TGT might not matter to the idiots who decide to dump the sector.
