Greater Bay Bancorp Selects CheckFree Solutions to Streamline Daily Reconciliation Operations

Tuesday November 19, 9:39 am ET

ATLANTA, Nov. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CheckFree Financial and Compliance Solutions, a business unit of CheckFree Corporation (Nasdaq: CKFR - News), today announced that Greater Bay Bancorp, (Nasdaq: GBBK - News), a $8.0 billion in assets financial services holding company, will leverage CheckFree RECON-Plus(TM) for Windows® to automate manual processes and support daily reconciliation for its item processing department. Greater Bay Bancorp has also elected to extend the automated reconciliation platform across the entire enterprise. As a result, Greater Bay Bancorp will be able to quickly and accurately match financial transactions with greater control and gain access to real-time information.

Prior to implementing RECON-Plus for Windows, Greater Bay Bancorp manually reconciled daily transactions, which has a greater opportunity for human error and exposure to risk than the automated system. By utilizing RECON-Plus for Windows, Greater Bay Bancorp can automatically balance virtually any type of account -- such as suspense, due from/due to correspondent and Federal Reserve accounts. RECON-Plus for Windows can reconcile Greater Bay Bancorp's accounts daily, weekly or monthly, and can match over 95 percent of their transactions automatically. . .

Exactly my sentiments!

Can you take one guess who is trying to get behind that information collection?

MicroSoft?

No really, I'm driving down the road the other night, Thursday...55mph...heading for Indiana Christmas Shopping, gonna do my once a year U-Turn in 5 lanes of traffic down to Notre Dame, keeping them hoosiers on their guard.

Minding my own business, a deer jumps out....I slow down, then another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and a couple others. Miss them all....

The guy coming the other way, hit the last one, launched it like a pop up in a baseball game. Comes through my windshield on my pickup, so much for the 800 dollar wrap around chrome brush guard, Mama is screaming if it has antlers I want the rack.

It's like freese frame. Slow motion. People get killed when deers come in through the windshild. Like a brick off the bridge in the city. But deer, aint bricks.....

DUCK, and COVER behind the steering wheel or dash, and then beat the son of a bitch dead as fast as you can.
