KT, ho ho - trips to Hartford as "rewards".

The Morgan Stanley branch manager called me and he noted they closed another office in the twin cities yesterday. They are pushing fee based accounts. He said orders from headquarters are to tout assets under management.

I see Jimmy Rogers is hot on Austria. The last time I had a love affair with Austria a couple of days after I bought the darn CEF went up 30%. They closed that CEF - the manager said there were very few Austrian based companies left to invest in - I see there still is an Austrian ishare. I am not jumping on this band wagon - if things get sold off dramatically it may be an ok play.

Japan is getting cheaper these days. <g>

But did you ever go see Mark Twain's house in Hartford? It really is worth the time and the ten dollars or whatever. I did not have time to see Harriet Beecher Stowe's house just down the street--it may be interesting, too.
