People do not want to face reality here, because it is so unpleasant. Global growth is stalled, the US is no longer an emerging market (as it was at the beginning of last century) but rather it is the dominant leader of the mature industrialized global economy... forebodes low interest rates and low growth...

You realize of course that during the last recession this was also the CW... except it was even worse then since the asian tigers were still strong, remember the "zero sum gain" and Lester Thurow?

I suspect that unless somebody takes the technology innovation edge away from the US, growth rates here will continue to outperform the ROW. Of course you can always find emerging markets whose GDP is increasing at a faster rate than one of the industrialized countries.
