Two Closed-End Funds Delay Controversial Rights Offerings

NEW YORK -- Two closed-end funds have postponed controversial rights offerings Tuesday, citing unfavorable market conditions.

Aberdeen Asset Management had filed registration statements for proposed transferable rights offerings for the two funds -- Aberdeen Asia-Pacific Income Fund Inc. (AMEX:FAX - News) and the Aberdeen Global Income Fund Inc. (NYSE:FCO - News) -- on Oct. 9.
