There is a Chinese curse which I've always liked -- "May you live in interesting times."

India doesn't really concern me that much, frankly. Of course the threat of war there is real, but even if it should happen, and even if it should turn nuclear, which would be terrible, it wouldn't affect us all that much.

India is gradually becoming more and more dependent on the US for hi tech training an jobs. They will become increasingly Westernized, and therefore decreasingly a threat. And their culture isn't hegemonic, as China's is.
