India - Surana sources CDMA technology from LG Electronics

Surana Telecom (Hyderabad, India), telecoms equipment maker, will source technology for making CDMA or WLL phones from LG Electronics India. Surana aims to make 4.2 lakh CDMA phones based on LG technology, plus 2.8 lakh portable CDMA kits. Surana has tendered for a contract to supply Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL) with CDMA phones. It will make the phones at a new assembly unit at its plant in Hyderabad, India.
