An interesting theory

It is interesting, but not original. Not saying the authored copied the idea, rather that others have discussed this idea before. In a market plunge environment, most rallies are short squeezes. His statement . In a normal rally you'd expect a lot of pauses, back-tracing, etc. is just flat out wrong for plunging market rallies. A good post on the subject is

So rather than being different, this rally is "textbook" in it's characteristics. At least, IMO.

He is right about the magnitude of the hedge fund influence on the market. I would also agree that just as the "houses" (to use V's term) have long "milked" the MUFU and pension funds, they will "slice 'n' dice" the hedge funds before this is over.
