Yes, it's the same sense of relief that my daughter felt many years ago when a mean little so-and-so who had been bugging her (third grade) was seen peeing against the schoolhouse wall--and was then suspended. Asked how she felt about witnessing this outrageous act, her reply was "it was the answer to my prayers." Luc's a civilizer. I do wish that the Dow would sink down to a reasonable level and stay there. The last three years have been like an interminable college party where someone mixes up some screwdrivers at 9 a.m. to blot out the hangovers. I think I am going to invent something called Greenspan Punch: equal parts of vodka, rum, brandy, limeade, and creme de menthe.
