how many would have shown up at an Americans funeral if he had killed two Pakistani policemen

Hardly anyone would show up, but that is only one of the differences between civilized people and barbarians.

This certainly is not the same thing, as going to a funeral for someone, who came to America to kill Americans. But even Americans often went to the funerals of people who were not exactly model citizens.

"Twenty thousand people jammed the street in front of the funeral home where Bonnie lay and almost as many came to view Clyde"

"Dillinger's body was brought back to Mooresville, Ind., where nearly 10,000 people waited to view his body. "

On a sadder note...

"Many Americans were sympathetic to Calley. Some felt he should not be tried. Congressman Mendel Rivers said he would do all he could to keep the Government from prosecuting the men charged with the massacre. Herbert Rainwater, national commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, said: "There have been My Lais in every war. Now for the first time in our history we have tried a soldier for performing his duty."

"The White House received more than 100,000 telegrams, roughly 100 to 1 supporting Lieutenant Calley in some way."
