You are quite right. But did you know that Colin Powell and Bush's present stand has disappointed and riled lots of folks!!! Some have been riled beyond speech. Last year, soon after 9/11, I wrote about exploring ways to delegitimize the militant Moslems' cause. Lots of folks screeched execrations and vituperations at me like there was no tomorrow. Now I see that Colin Powell and Bush seem to be on the same wavelength with me, one year after the fact! You know it's quite funny: the folks who screamed at me and called me names are now pleading with me to understand why Colin Powell and Bush are being so kind and considerate to the Moslems in this country. But somehow it was beyond their yen and ken that it is vital to be nice to Moslems and foreigners who had hitherto been regarded as shit or traitors of sorts, and they had to have 9/11 to wake them up to reality! and then only reluctantly so.
