These are times that demand the quality of greatness. I can only watch what unfolds. I hope the inner strength [Bush] exhibits in running is what moves him through these times. We are always fed images and we have little chance of knowing the real inner man they parade around on TV.

This is really quite true. I don't have a television and haven't owned one for nearly two decades. Yet the notion of "Bush the Buffoon" was palpable enough in our culture I descried it with no problem at all, even believing it to some degree. I yet do not think Bush has "hi-test" upstairs. But I think he has a lot more than is commonly portrayed in the press. He obviously has enough to get the job done very well. I think his image works to his advantage. He is indeed shrewd - very shrewd. But he is not pretentious. His enemas constantly "misunderestimate" him. They lower their guard and Bush whacks them into Mazatlan. It is a wonderful thing to see.

That running pace he moves at shows me a man of great will and strength. His wife is also very impressive. Clinton could only trot as far as a Big Mac.

Hehe. Well you must give credit where it is due, Ron. Clinton could also trot to that little closet near the Oval Office.
