Steve, conquest has been the traditional method of wealth acquisition for all of biological history. A modern invention, only a few hundred years old in the most modern countries, is the idea of private property and capitalism. The clock can't be rewound. The USA was founded on grand theft of land with the locals being left a few reservations. It was also founded on theft of lives, with slaves being shipped to pick cotton. Compensation is impossible because those affected are long dead. Humans mix up too much to sort out stuff like that. The stupid Jews think they can reclaim the promised land from some mythological time and they are prepared to kill real people to do it! We can all look back upstream and find any number of conquests of our ancestors. Bad luck for those ancestors. It's a different set of rules now. So, the Queen has the land. Stealing it from her isn't such a bright idea. The royal family are almost like prisoners in a gilded cage. Charles sometimes seems to me to look like a prisoner - puzzled, worried and bewildered. They can't go anywhere without their minders keeping them separated. Poor things. Mqurice
