mike

nice to see you. tough market to read isn't it? choppy, choppy, choppy. hope all is well in texasville.

just sitting here pondering things like i often do. ian and i had an interesting discussion a couple of weeks ago about gurus, especially here on SI. i think it's fair to say that most people who trade don't do very well (except for everyone here of course). so what is the deal with gurus anyway? i would think that if someone was a really good trader they would go about their business and accrue a nice nestegg and enjoy life to the fullest. that's what i think anyway. so here we have all these gurus, who apparently are market genius', and so many of them are working their asses off running sites teaching others how to trade. now if that hypothesis were true then we could assume that all self styled gurus are humanitarians, simply living to help their fellow man! hmmm, doesn't smell right to me. mom always told me not to believe everything i hear.

ps i'm thinking of starting this new site where i could teach all i know to newbies...wanna be a partner in the new firm?

hey mike...sorry for the lag time in responding, been out all day and just taking stock of things now...the vixen never ceases to confound, does she?...i was well convinced we were going to test 1347 today -.....this was sposed to be so routine..lol...test 1425, retreat to 1325ish(which we did), bounce to 1347-1360, retreat to 1280ish, bounce to somewhere less than the 1325 mark before 3rd legging down to possibly the 1225 area before regrouping and making an assault on 1425 again...so much for the textbook..lol...it does seem we may pierce the aug 22 hi in the near future....we of course have to be aware of the traps set for the breakout guys, yada yada....the 200 ma's are sitting not too far overhead alot of these stocks, hard to imagine them thrusting through...but technically speaking, i think this rally sucks..hehe....i think it is undermining a very sound bull run that was starting to shape up nicely....i think the .50 cut and this (ppt induced?) rally have sacrificed the near/medium term for some self gratification in the short term....really hope im wrong on that...sorry for the rambling account....will try to give a better answer when i get caught up...i
