Since the format of the moderated chat on SI is not really interactive, or "live" - a prepared thing would actually be a lot better. Having to keep refreshing the index etc isn't quite what one thinks of when one is thinking of Chat. It would also give the guests time to expound on some of the details of their style, outlook etc . . . I think having a list of questions in advance that are sent to the guest and then are put into an interview style post where the guest can expound, link to charts etc would work best for the SI style.

I don't know, it just didn't seem to be "live chat" as billed. I hadn't noticed the 30 minute schedule, but with up to 6 minutes between posts(including both Q&A) that doesn't leave time for much content. I guess it might as well be prepared in advance and just posted as there wasn't any point to reading it "live".
