We would have been better off if Saddam wouldn't have agreed and we took him out. Now, Saddam will just play hide the salami, shell games.
If Saddam was really smart he would call Bush and request a meeting and make an effort to be "buddies" again with the USA.


As I said the boss expected more resistance. Here's a prediction...Saddam will now play hide the salami. It will be interesting to see if Bush backs off and lets the inspection process take its course.

Your second comment has precedent in Arafat's request to meet Bush and being turned down. Of course this is the most glaring example of the lack of a long term policy in Palestine and the Middle East in general that leads to people living in peace rather than keeping the region and the world in a tense state of near war.
