It wasn't our brave young men that lost that war The Vietnam war was lost because it was not in the country's interest. A few people thought there might be oil in the mekong delta so they set the stage for a war and blamed it on communist dominoes. That kind of war never works out in the long run. Another datapoint when pondering the oil in Iraq. TP
