Problem is our universities are the equivalent of the Arab madrassas. They preach their anti-American hate so the next crop of graduates are fully brainwashed. It's self perpetuating.

The Vietnam war was lost because it was not in the country's interest. A few people thought there might be oil in the mekong delta so they set the stage for a war and blamed it on communist dominoes. That kind of war never works out in the long run. Another datapoint when pondering the oil in Iraq.

Their country asked them to serve and they did their job.

They gave the enemy resolve to continue fighting.
That is certainly true. In spite of ToiletPaper's delusions.

Walker had more than a little to do with it too. Knowing when and where the bombers were coming helped quite a bit.
