That was when we moved to the city(pop. est 18,000) :) At my Grandmother's we also had a pump indoors. I will go you one better. Know how they kept the cream cold. After milking and separating the cream, it was place inside a quart jar sealer, then into a bucket and lowered into the well outside. (This was during the summer). They did not have an iceadabox. :) Home made french toast or pancakes with home made syrup and fresh cream. WOWSA!!
