Re: France position is totally based on money... I don't think so. France's prime interest, as far as foreign relations and diplomacy are concerned, is her status. With the US diplomacy currently in the grip of Judeofascist hawks, President Chirac seized the opportunity to jump onto the Mideast stage as a "fair broker" between the US and Arab nationalists... Regarding "money", I think France's relations with Germany and the so-called Common Agricultural Policy are far more important than France's oil consumption... Gus
