Chris, Have your read Ken Pollocks 'Threatening Storm'? Basically he makes the point that no one in any senior position in Iraq is totally innocent. Saddam forces all of his senior leaders into horrid acts for just this purpose - shared complicity. We may only be left with academics to work with (and only if they currently work overseas). BTW isn't it too cute that he gets indicted by a European court supported by a public whose opinion is that it is ok to leave his old boss in power? John
