Eric L: It gives me great pleasure to congratulate you on your post to Mike on 450. Though I know it must be hard for old hands here to credit, I agree with your analysis in its depth and scope. Very good IMO.

Since I have to add something of course <G>, I would note that in Russia, CDMA cellular has been given less than an open field to run in, [GSM being the choice of the government] - to the extent that the few trial CDMA operators are on notice to give their frequency back - so 450 may have a special advantage as a more practical way to spread CDMA in Russia than it might be in China where CDMA has other frequencies available.

And I suspect that Indonesia may be an interesting possibility for 450 given the huge distances and multiple islands.
