<Most businesses lose sight of growth through innovation >

Good book on this topic : "Innovator's Dilemna" by Clayton Christensen.

MeDroogies,

I also agree with you in general.

Most businesses lose sight of growth through innovation as they sacrifice themselves on the cross of meeting short term financial goals.

You've hit on the main reason I resisted the acquisition. HP needed to focus its energies on innovation and developing new markets (and trim its own fat), not trying to eat something bigger than its head.

We'll never know, though.

I agree.
