The U.S. had to give a special exemption to France to permit them to spend the Marshall Plan money on their war in Asia, instead of on rebuilding in France... which was what it was intended for. Doesn't sound like we stood up very firmly for "anti-collonialism" to me! We sold the bullets. As to "Not that I expect someone who thinks Ho and democracy had anything to do with each other to understand that." >>> I NEVER said Ho was a Democrat. He wasn't.
