Cha2,

Not much meat in the presentation. This is an instance of the type of effort being put into the metropolitan WiFi network. I have not seen any approach that stands out as a real viable commercial network - yet. There are some real limitations on performance that I have not seen addressed either. This company adds some 'proprietary extensions' to the 802.11a standard. That is a phrase that gives me the willies.

I now suspect that a Metropolitan WiFi networking technology will be developed. When it is developed the ubiquity gap between CDMA and WiFi will be narrowed.
