If a war starts in the ME and is still going in 11/2004, you can forget it. GWB will be reelected. GWB is lucky that the downturn started when it did. Most recessions are fairly short- -1-3 years. Usually 1 or 2 years. That means the recovery should be well under way by 11/2004. And that most likely means reelection. OTOH, there's this: prudentbear.com Try the "Bear Case". And a war could make that null. Defense spending would support the economy. Start thinking about 2008. And don't think Gore. And REALLY, REALLY don't think Shrillary. You just elected a Republican if that happens.
