David Re..It is beyond me how anyone who watched the news tonight can possibly rationalize the behavior of these Palestinians. They targeted school children.<<<<<

And that is a big paradox, as the initial wave of infinida used children to get sympathy. Now Hamas and PLO are blowing up children. No sane person can sympathize with that change in tactics.

think Israel is showing great restraint right now, because if it were me and the kids were those of my neighbors', I'd be for steps serious enough to make these cold-blooded baby killers think twice before doing it again. <

While I agree mostly with that statement, and I don't like qualifying terrorism, Israel really needs to recognise that Israel also needs to take a step toward reconciliation Ultimately some act may have to be committed, (maybe this is it) where both sides say enough, and get serious about a resolution. A good start, on Israel's part would be to pull the settlements out of the Arab part of the proposed partition. Sharon hasn't shown any spine to control the Jewish settlers; and how can Israel be serious about peace, and a Palestinian homeland, when Israel keeps on developing it. That probably should be the first step.

When the Palestinians decide to live in peace, that is when they will be able to rebuild, and accumulate wealth.

It is beyond me how anyone who watched the news tonight can possibly rationalize the behavior of these Palestinians. They targeted school children.

I think Israel is showing great restraint right now, because if it were me and the kids were those of my neighbors', I'd be for steps serious enough to make these cold-blooded baby killers think twice before doing it again.

And what exactly would you be doing to make this situation right?
